Announcement for ALL Officers

This announcement is for all Black March officers.

First, I would like to remind everyone at the rank Officer and above that having stars in The Black March is not about prestige, it's about leadership. No one is forcing your rank on you, and no one will stop you from stepping down at any time. If you are an officer, then you chose to help lead The Black March and you are responsible for the following:
1) Helping your guild mates key for Karazhan and other raid instances
2) Helping your guild mates when they lose players during PuG instance runs
3) Helping your guild mates with quests
4) Helping your guild mates learn their characters
5) Administering DKP exactly as the website instructs for guild raids
6) Acting as a loot officer for all raid instances if no other officer is present
7) Fostering a positive atmosphere - This means being calm and understanding of guild mates' problems and feelings, controlling guild chat, resolving conflicts, and praising desired behavior and actions.

Second, our guild is about 80% PvE and 20% PvP. This means we do not need Arms/Fury warriors. Please keep in mind that the guild needs to grow at a balanced rate so that everyone can run instances with guild mates. We do not want to exclude anyone because we recruit players in an imbalanced fashion.

RECRUITMENT POLICIES HAVE CHANGED!
From this point forward, if the guild has 6 or more active lvl 70s of a class, the ONLY person who can recruit additional members of that class is the class officer. This means if we have 6 lvl 70 mages, Rivalen is the only person who can recruit additional mages. Once we have 6 of a class, we need to focus on the quality of the player more so than quantity. The class officer should be knowledgable about their class and will be the best person to interview candidates for the guild. You MUST run with the prospective guildie before recruiting them in this situation. If there is no class officer, Fogel or Rivalen will take over the recruiting process for that player. Failure to comply will result in a DKP penalty. If you have a perspective player who is not in your class with these conditions, you must notify the class officer.

Officers and above now have activity requirements. If you do not sign on before the away timer hits 1 month, you will be removed from your position. This is to ensure the officers are active and up to date with the happenings of the guild. Non-officer guild members who's away timer hits 2 months will be removed from the guild in an attempt to prune inactive players.

Lastly, gkick is not something to throw around lightly. Just as character names get good and bad repuations in this game, so do guilds. We need to show everyone that we are a skilled guild with mature leadership. Talking about gkicking in-game or in-vent in any non-officer channel is justification for immediate demotion. Gkick will only be used in extreme circumstances like guild theft and intentional sabotage. Gkicking must be approved by either Fogel or Rivalen. If neither are logged into WoW, it must be approved by 3 officers. If these conditions are not met, the player is to be demoted to AWOL and will be dealt with when the appropriate officers are available. Note: Spec choice is NOT grounds for removing a player from the guild. However, consistant refusal to assist in guild events (for the duration of several weeks) will be.
